Mod Help

Hello everyone. I'm looking for a mod (or mods) that will help me do the following things.

1) Unlock all the jumpgates and holes out of the new york system (and elsewhere) in SP after mission 1 and before mission 3.

2) Unlock all level limits to various ships and weapons and shields from equipment and ship dealers. (example: saving up and buying an eagle in SP at level 3 etc)

If you guys know of a mod that can do this i'll greatly appreciate it, i've tried searching around the site for a few days and haven't had much luck. Thanks in advance.

Download my XML Toolkit Mod, 1.1, and Chip's OpenSP Lite. OpenSP Lite contains code that will unlock the Gates/Holes, any the XML Toolkit mod does the things you're wanting, as well as... other things. I'm not sure that there's anything out there that has exactly what you want here, but you can combine these two to get what you want.

I checked out OpenSP for a bit and it seems rather nice, the only problem is that i want to keep the storyline active and then just go back to continuing it (mission 2 and beyond) with much better equipment. (just for fun, as i've already beaten FL many times and want to see how much i can kill as quickly as possible heh heh)

Is it wise to perhaps turn OpenSP on and does those things and then just turn it off when i'm ready to continue the storyline?

You can try... but what's most likely to happen is that you're just going to end up with a garbled savegame.

If all you want is to kick some butt... then there are plenty of uber-gun mods, or you can go into the Mission code for the first mission and change the reward to something ridiculous...
