Blocking Light

Here is the deal. I have an Edge Nebula between a planet and the star. I want the nebula to 'block' the light from reflecting off the planet. I've set up a light in the middle of the nebula, but I don't know how to set it up. Could somebody walk me through it please?

This is not exactly a walkthrough but look at the planets definition - there's an entry for how much light it reflects

Ah thank you. Except, where would that be? I'm looking at the SolarArch.ini, but I can't find it. What file is it in, and what value am I looking for?

That's where you'd expect to find it. As is often the case, it's not where it actually is... The definition is in the system ini. An excerpt from BR01.ini -

<pre><font size=1 face=Courier>
[LightSource
nickname = Br01_planet_light
pos = 38209, 0, -14739
color = 253, 248, 213
range = 6000
type = POINT
attenuation = 1, 0, 0.000000
</font></pre>

Is the way it is done. Though it occurs to me that that's maybe not really what you are asking. There is an ambient light setting in nebulae to determine what light is given inside. Light emmitted has a range also - put a planet just beyond the sun's range to have it 'blocked' by the nebula.
