AI Difficulty

I apologize if this question already asked but I've spent 2 days looking through search results and entire forums looking for an answer but with no luck. The search length requirement makes it hard to search for "ai".

Anyway, I stopped playing FL a year or so ago and decided to come back if I could find a kickass mod that would add a lot to the game. Evolutions mod looked good but the problem is the difficulty of the ai makes it hard to get back into the game.

I've searched through a bunch of ini files in the evolutions mod and I cannot figure out how the AI has been increased like it has. It was my understanding that npcships.ini controlled enemy ai but from what I can see it is the exact same file as the one from the SDK with no changes.

All I want to do is revert the difficulty AI in the Evolutions mod back to the standard difficulty until I've gotten back into the game. I already have a character with evolutions equipment going so I can't exactly hop back into the original game.

Any help would be appreciated, including links/titles of threads that have been started on this. I know Chips has said he's been damn near flamed for the difficulty so I'm sure there must be a post or two somewhere.

Thanks

try "The Order Needs You" mod, it's my fav at the moment until i can find a mod that have got Battlship in Random Missions and didn't add to much to the game.
in that mod, you get a kick ass VHF, it's built on the Anbius Order VHF, but 10 times better, think it as a Urber Fighter

I'm pretty sure that for AI difficulty you want 'NpcRankToDiff.ini' in the Random Missions folder. Also, you could edit their loadouts in loadouts.ini (in Ships folder).

Hope it helps, theres probably some tutorials around here on it somewhere - if you're relatively new to modding.
