Is it possible to disable Datastorm?

Well, Is it possible to disable Datastorm? I don`t really want all of my hard work to be for someone to find all the good wrecks and equipment without exploring.

Only by using Starfyre Studios method... It confuses the way certain programs decompress ini files by changing the file version entry in the ini file and the corresponding ckeck in a dll. Contact Reynen and ask for how they do it (if they're happy to share the info).
