Hardpoints Class 11

Is it possible to creat a class 11 hardpoint. I want to put battleships on my server but don't want the turrets to mount on normal turret points. They look a bit odd when mounted to an Eagle. I have tried just changing them in weapons.ini and on the ships but it didn't work.

Heh, well, I could be mistaken here, but I do not think it is possible to make Class 11 anything. What you'll have to do is
A.) reduce all guns by one level and all ships by one level. Leave the cap stuff for capships (which will be the only ship(s) in te game that can mount Lvl10 stuff.
or
B.) reduce just the level 10 weapons and the VHFs that can use them. This way you're only chaging a few things instead of every dang ship and weapon :p

Believe me, I just finished up a week's worth of editing doing part A -- it is more balanced, but ugh, is it so NOT-fun when you're actaully doing it.

But again, don't think classes other than the ones already in game are possible ... lazy Microsoft

Thx for the response.
That's exactly what I did in my last attempt, reduced all class 10 guns to 9s and ship mounts accordingly leaving class 10s for cap ships but it will mean a player wipe. The wipe is what I'm trying to avoid, done it twice already and I'm not sure if my players will be happy about another one.

Are u using vanilla freelancer or a modded one? If u are using the vanilla one you could just edit the shiparch entries for VHF`s. There aren`t any class 10 turrets anyway, so capital ships could have class 10 turrets.
