If you go through the systems ini file there are solars that are placed next to the baltmore shipyard dock. They have,

That just means if u click on the shipyard it selects the dockable solar. If you add these manually, it can be a bit tricky to get in the right place. I guess you could just write down the difference of the shipyard`s position to the dockable solar. But, personally, i just use Freelancer explorer. You place the base first then add objects and say nearest base as parent.
Theres an option when u click on the base to change base layout. U can just move the bits around the 3 views. Takes a bit of practice but its the best way.
Oh, there are two types of shipyard the normal ones and the larger ones(about 2x bigger), there is two of the smaller ones added to baltimore.
You can get freelancer explorer from the downloads section. They just call it FLE.
