Radiation Shielding

Hey all!,
I was wondering if anyone had thought of making a mod for a peice of equipment that would protect you against annoying radiation.
I haven't been modding Freelancer very long but would like to figure this out.

(don't you just hate it when you are flying through a dust cloud and are SLOWLY losing health! You can counter it with nano bots but it's like scratching the paint of your shiny new ship! ...or you could buy an ugly ship like the titan cause it looks bad anyway! )

the radiation affects only the hull, there isnt anything built into the FL engine that supports radiation blocking. only thing that would work would be the uber hull

You don't think that it would be possible to make an uber shield that excludes the indivisual weapons. (sort of like a trade lane disuptor only backwards). I haven't look much at the hull code.

You can do it by using the weaponmoddb.ini. You can define new weapon types there and set their efficiency against the different shield types (of which there are 9, and I don't think adding more of those would work, I tried it but it seemed all new shield types behaved as if any weapon has an eff. of 1 against them). This way you can make it so that certain weapns have absolutely no effect on certain shield, while other weapons could be devastating against them.
