Ioncross savegam editor problem

I'm using the evolutions mod (1.28) to edit my little brothers save file. But the evo ships, guns etc.. werent in it. I downloaded the hash files, but i cant get them to work, when i open the ioncross editor, and select a save game it begins to load but stops with a:

Run-time error '5':

Invalid procedure or call statement

I've tried downloading from the evo home page, and here, but both files suffer from the same error (with me anyway). I've also tried deleting all the empty lines, and blank spaces in the files (quite abundant end space in the files).

Does anyone either
a) know how to fix this and get it working (someone has got to be running a server and be able to edit teh files)

or
b) have and entire ironcross folder (server or editor they use the same files) they can send me?

Thanks in advance.

First of all, run-time errors tend to mean your missing the VB files needed to run the program. Visit http://www.ioncross.com/software/index.htm and go to the very bottom of the page and download the VB runtime files.

it means your VB files are not the latest

I had this problem recently. Download the latest ones and then run ioncross again.

....or you're using a non-US version of Windows XP, which also causes problems for some people.

I'll probably release a "fix" for this issue (has to do with automatically finding files to edit) shortly, for now try the latest BETA build HERE. Just overwrite your existing EXE with this one. If you can't get it going, just wait until I get it officially released.
