Tradelane Speed

Hi!
Can anybody tell me how to increase the speed in tradelanes?
I would like to fly faster, but use tradelanes!

Hi you can increase the speed of the trade lane by chaning a specific peice of equipment they use. (i've done it for te mod phase 2) under the ini file in the equipment directory called select_equip.ini find the line:
[Tradelane
nickname=basic_trade_lane_eq

This is the equipment thats makes the trade lane solar a workable tradelane. To increase the speed of the tradelane it's self (or decrease) during travel find the line:
spin_accel=15

Changing this number will change the speed of traving throu the tradelane. As with everything expermient but be carefull, i've increased mine to 20 witch works well as it's faster but not to fast to barely notice You can also use this to change the way tradlane effects and other various things works. so if i set it to 500 id get to my destination instantly?
or almost instantly, anyway

does not work. increased it finally to 999 -> very high values but the tradelane speed remained 'normal'

try a lower/diffrent speed, if i had to guss 999 is to fast/ignored by it. Try diffrent speeds and see if theres any change and post your results (and speeds try etc.) if it still dosn't work then the only other field I can think of trying is the spin_max=50 field. I'll look more into myself when I have time.

the spin does not make you go faster I did try btw! I have a hacked version of the exe (for my personal use) that displays true speed. There is really no difference. I think the spinning tunnel effect may have changed a little though, to 20 from 15 with perhaps a maximum of 50? I poked about in common.dll cos theres lots of tradelane functions in there but have achieved nothing except making the display read 0 not --- when in trade lane.

hmm intresting you may be right and maybe thats why i thought i was going faster....the only other things i can think of is maybe is the activation_start=750
& activation_end=500 entrys may have something to do with speed, or it could be a constant, or it could just simply be hardcoded. I poke around breifily in the common dll just to look and I did find a get_tradelane_speed and a set_tradelane_speed *this is the common.dll in the exe not dll dir* i'll keep poking around the ini files and such myself and see what i can find on that end.

tl_ship_travel = basic_tl_ship_travel
tl_player_travel = basic_tl_player_travel

you might have to change the actuall effects to do anything...

nope the effects are just that effects, graphical i've looked them over and theres nothing that i can see that would acutally change the speed of the tradelane.
