System-jumping random missions

I don't know if this has already been seen, but in the past it's been a very frequent question "can I make missions going to other systems", and the answer used to be a resounding "no". However, the other day, I was playing on the Jolt Server and I was in NY, and I got a mission involving travelling to Texas. I've no idea how it's done, but at least that means it's possible.

Again, sorry if this has already been found out.
