Question 2 has been solved, and question 3 is, from what I have been told, impossible. Question 1 brings me to my new question 1.
As you could see, I made quite a discovery, finding the empty system. I took my own "don't do" advice, and changed Rheinland to Liberty. Everything went as expected: I enter NB... "New Berlin System, Liberty Space" I enter Fl... "Florida System, Liberty Space" Then I got a crazy idea. I switched the Rheinland systems with the Liberty systems, i.e. New York became New Berlin and vice versa, at least in terms of the strid_name. I then applied the final step of substituting Rheinland for Liberty. Everything worked! All the systems now had the proper "... System, ... Space" ending, including Florida. I am a genius... and then I found my error. Apperantly, the IDS# that controls the "... Space" also dictates the writing on the Sirius Sector Map. Now, Rheinland was dead center, and Liberty took lower right. I have searched, but I ask you to please find a way to do this final thing to fix it: find out (I am told it is hardcoded) how to move the text. If I can flip-flop Rheinland and Liberty, I'll be good to go.
Next question. In the "house" systems, lone fighters enter the tradelanes on patrol. How do I mimic this? I have put area_defend in the tradelane_traffic (the fighters remained outside), I put lane_patrol for an encounter (no such thing, so our friend Mr. Crash paid a visit), and I made a lane_patrol path (also remained outside of the tradelane). So, what do I need to do?
Onward ho! Similar to question four of last time, I am trying to make a custom .thn file, with little success. I am looking for a bar scene that is not in, but near, an edge-like nebula. I came across the Hawaii bar, but it has a blue nebula as well. I have determined that it is in the starsphere, so I went looking for an edge starsphere. I came across Ew02 (Omicron Beta, by the way, have you seen some of the "nebula" starspheres, Li05, Ku06, Bw03, Bw05, and Ew02? Li05, Alaska, is my personal favorite), which is basically one large edge nebula in the starsphere. However, I am having trouble adding it into the bar scene, and every time I do, I come up black. Note, I also want to change the second starsphere entry to Li01.
Almost at the end. I want to lock some gates according to the storyline. For example, I want my New York -> Florida gate to be locked until completion of the second mission. It asks for the gate ID, which is a number (I know the name). How do I find this number? Also, I want Alaska to be locked until mission 11, after which you can use it freely. How do I change it from always locked to locked up until then?
And finally... I have revamped (no, too strong of a word... revised is better) Alaska, my favorite system. The problem lies in the nebula. I have created an exclusion zone around the star, one that effects both fields (I split it into two: one for the nebula and one for the asteriod field) But the Denali Field is picky; whenever I enter the exclusion zone, the star is so beautiful, it is invisible. How do I repair this.
Well, it is late, and finals are tomorrow, so I must go. I look foward to the answers to these questions.
