CMP Importing Help

In everything I can find online, no one refers to this as a problem:
When I import the file, it will not import the resources (nor will it import the Hp/... -- i've tried it on my own cmp's that have it in there).

This is using Milkshape 3D with Freelancer CMP/3DB Importer 1.01

Anyone know how I can get the textures in and correctly mapped onto the model?

The importer just doesn't import the hardpoints, the textures should import though...

It does "try" to import them, but they show up as the same texture as the no texture in ms3d. I can try this with any of the cmp's and it is the same.

If you guys can import properly, could someone import
http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/Downloa ... sp?ID=1230
and send me the converted ms3d file with the textures.

If you do, send me an email with it attached, thanks.

KingofFah,

I would not suggest that this is a good way to go.. most modellers get a tad upset if people import their models and start playing with them.. especially if you then release the ship as a model in a mod...of course if it's for your own use in your own version of freelancer....

Might I suggest that you do this the "right" way and email Ryuujin and ask him for help and or permission. It may not only save you time but be a lot less trouble in the end.. As revamps of existing models without permission is looked on pretty dimly by the Freelancer community...

I'm not releasing anything, I was just changing the hard points on the two weapons underneath the ship, since they do not fire properly at certain angles.

I remembered about HardCMP and used that to finish the job. I wasn't changing anything with the actual model or textures, but I originally was trying to import the CMP and just move the hard points or delete and remake them. Everything is fine now.
