Many questions, and a bad attempt at humor.

If it is the other side of the thread you wish to see, than you must answer me these questions three… okay, four.

Question 1: What is the average velocity of a flying swallow?
……
Wait, wrong script. (Flips through some papers) Ah, here we go: In my mod, you must all know by now that I have a problem. When I enter it, is says “Florida System.” With a “.” there. WHY?! I want it to say “Florida System, Liberty Space.” Ah, much better. Now, there are past variations to this in which I want to bring up.
Source One: http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/forum/t ... lse&S=True
Here, we have an example of where we can, in some way, shape, or form, do something similar to what I want. How do I force this “error,” and more to the point, what causes it? Silver71880, the author of the thread, if you see this, I have a question. Did you fix it? If so, how? If you tell me how to fix it, I may be able to reverse it and find how to cause it.

Question 2: Is Darth Vader my father?
……
I am not having good luck today. (Flips through more papers) In my Florida system, I have a nebula. Okay, I have TWO nebulas, but one will suffice. In game, when I click on the mining thing on the Nav Map, it says that my nebula is mineable. It isn’t. WHY?! I need to fix this. Really, I just need to know what to change, but, so does everybody else. Any help here would be grand.

Question 3: What does God need with a starship?
…….
Er, I mean, I am having trouble with my startup screen. Really, I have no idea how to work it. I want to add a nebula to the intro script, but even the intro script tout. doesn’t seem to tell me. That, and it plays thrice really fast, and then goes black with these crow blue dot thingies. Any help? Oh, and the intro tout thread needs to be re-stickied.

Question 4: Why can’t I think up a good diversion question?
In reality, it is more thorns in my side, pardon the pun. On one of the planet scenes (the one in Cortez), I want to change the blue star to a green one. How do I do this? It looks really bad having a green star in space and a blue one on the ground. I mean, the planet doesn’t sell Cardamine. It seems that there isn’t a green star “model,” so to speak, and that there is only a blue one and a red one. I believe the file extension is “.ale”, if that helps.

Statement 1: You are the weakest link. Goodbye!

Sorry for not replying. The thing with the nebulas worked; they are no longer minable (although I did come across the fact that something showing on the mining map seems to be part of a save file, as I had to go to a previous save file for the change to appear), so that is good. I havn't really looked into the planet base scene all that much, as I have been busy with school and getting the bases populated. One other interesting thing I noticed was that the ".... System, ...... Space" seems to be part of the infocard, and has nothing at all to do with the system. As a test, I put the strid_name for my system to match Alaska; without changing one other thing, I launch from Planet Miami, and it says "Alaska System, Liberty Space." I was enthralled. So I changed it back to Florida... "Florida System." Oh well, I seem to be making some progress. If anyone can use this information to help me or someone else, please do so.

*edit* Wait, I may be on to something. This is from the resource .dll, IDS# 460125: %s System.
And from IDS# 460124: %s, %s System.
And here it is from IDS# 460126: %s System, %s Space.
I have had the 460125 one, which is what I want to get rid of. The non-House worlds, such as Tau-31, seem to use this. 460124 is the one we see when we land on a base. Let's think logically: when you create a system, you must, in some way, access the file that uses this, because it follows the pattern of 460125. If you didn't access it, it wouldn't say anything, correct? Now, by finding this file and accessing it manually, we should be able to change 460125 to 460126, which is where we want it. Ideas?

They say the best discoveries are found purely by accident. Game modding appears to be no exception. As I was shifting through the name resources, I decided that I needed "Florida System, Liberty Space." So, I changed Alaska, IDS# 196613, to Florida. Sure enough, I enter the system, and I have a Liberty System! The downside: now I had TWO Florida's, and no Alaska. So, I went to the IDS# just after the last system, and found Planet New London. I am very lazy, so I just guessed to go back to the former Alaska. I picked IDS# 196625, and it was EMPTY! Right smack dab between Dresden and New Tokyo. So, I go back and change Florida back to Alaska, imput Florida into IDS# 196625, enter the system...

"Florida System, Rhineland Space."

BURN, BABY, BURN!!! Now, the Rhineland thing could be a problem, but I have gone further than anything I have seen. I was able to recreate the error mentioned earlier, and will commence going through the nameresources.dll for more of these. If anyone creates a good Rhineland system, they can now make it look offical. If anyone could help me change it to "..., Liberty Space." (without the obvious "change Rhineland to Liberty," as then I would have "New Berlin System, Liberty Space" ), please do so. I shall continue on my endeavors.

Could someone please help me here? BTW, I am working on... well, I'm not sure quite yet. My computer was in for service for the past two days, and I forgot where I was. Anyhow, all my bases have people in their places with bright shining faces... and lovely names.
