Creating planet surface

Hi.

How to create a planet surface to see when you land.

How do you do this? I haven't seen any information on this particular topic. What I
would like is a complete explanation, from making the surface to making a working
.cmp, and finally, producing the landing sequence for the game.

I cant really say about the Landing Sequence...but the whole Idea is to make a landscape With backrounds and all that cool stuff...then use CMP editor and add hardpoints light and more.....the best way to understand what to do open an excisting file like: /DATA/BASES/LIBERTY/li_01_manhattan_cityscape.cmp
Look at it with the hardpoint editor (CMP editor) and try to understand what all of those little hardpoints do.
Example Again:
HpShip: The Place where YOUR ship lands
HpShippark: Seems that somekind of Lights...maybe to aim landing or smthing......I dont know really
HpPlayer01: It seems FL has to hide the player somewhere...so this is where you hide him
HpPlayer01Start: Not sure about this one
HpLight: A Various Number of lights
HpSmoke: I dont know this one yet.....it might be a cigarette LOL or a steam of somekind like in Sigma 17 on that planet it had those big pipes or something with smoke coming out

If anyone knows something better then bring it on

The main file for landing sequences is the thn files located in data\scripts\bases directory. You will need a thn file decoder which can be found here on lancer's reactor. Unfortunately, I don't have time to completely explain how to create new custom thn files. If you want to try it, and have a specific question, I will answer it. But you'll have to figure out the basics on your own. The script tutorials here on lancer's reactor are ok for helping with basics, but they are not really specifically for base landing sequences, and much of the information in them is incomplete or even incorrect. But they will give you a place to start.

HpPlayer01 could be where trent stands. Like on Crete, you can see trent standing there. Even when you're flying off... :S

I made a new sytem for the Order with a colonicised Planet. I want to have the Pygar Planetscape instead of the normal one but dont know, where the planescapes\cityscapes, traders, bars, ect. are set. It would even be helpful to know, because I want to make completely new mixes of them.
