Repair Guns

No im not talking about the one already made in the game. i was just wondering there's a line in weaponequip.ini called damage_per_fire = 0. does anybody no if changing this will cause damage to your ship? and if so is it possible to set it to a negative value so it heals your ship. in other words is it possible to make a gun that will repair your ship that you pay for it once and doesnt require ammo so you can heal yourself without paying for ammo/nanos. and to limit its capabilities set it with a low refire rate/healing value and set its lifetime to 0 so it doesnt appear it's firing?

Strangely, I thought that damage per fire thing if set to more than zero would wear out your weapon and you would eventually have to replace it. The thread listed merely talks about setting negative values, but does nothing to describe what it actually does.

I tried setting the damage per fire for a justice mk one to 400 (same as its hit pts value) and tested it. no damage to the justice was done after firing many times

@Just, that was the point. They could not get it to work.
