A sensor disruptor

I have a question, i have made a lot of things for my mod with the exception of a strange idea my wife said to me the other night..."Can you add a weapon, missle or gun that would cause a sensor disruption like those zones you fly into?"

i thought about it and it sounds interesting, just wondering if it is possible...

and for the effect can it be just a temp effect IE, like 2 seconds your targeting is knocked off line or it is off line while you are being hit. (basic properties like a cruise disruptor but for your sensors.).

ps, hopefully i didn't overlook this in the other threads.

You might could create on that does what a cruise disrupter does and combine with an EMP to knock the energy of a ship[ to zero, in that weps won't fire either. A little study would be needed to do this. I would use a beam type wep, but a missle would do as well.

Final day that is a good idea but you would have to also make power supplys recharge slower if you wanted it to be of real use

I like the idea finalday. and @aravis all my power generators are removable and interchangeable in the modonly for the fact i lowered their stats and made generator upgrade kits so you could either sell the powerplant of the ship and add a new one in.so basically all the recharge rates are pretty average...no Uber generators for anyone...

I will look into the idea finalday.. sounds like a winner..,,hopefully it works. i spent about 2 months editing EVERY ships engine, sensor, and power generator. (a waste on the engines since ya can't sell em ) but i digress, i will definately look into it. you guys have some good ideas

If you can make it, that it does no damage to a ship, just kills all power, that would help take down even battle ships and let you escape some battles intact.

That would make escaping some battles easier just set the range as an EMP for about 1500 m to avoid getting pwned by swarming

I'm not sure if this would help but i put the "interference = 1.000000" in the explotion of a missle and played SP but it diden't seem to affect the NPC's maybe it should be tested on a server......

And one other thing. If you made it for NPC's too. You would have to take off their infinite_power as a generator. Which may screw up the AI someone would have to cehck cause Im a bit busy atm and FL is screwed up along with a lagging computer.
