New gun

I made a new gun its big sucker to. It wont rotate on the y axis, and it doesn't show up in the shop. In space you can see the gun but not on a base or planet. Any Ideas?

ok to get the gun in the "shop" you will need to make sure that the "nickname" and "equipment" name are the same in both weapons_equip.ini and qeapons_good.ini

then u need to take the nickname from the weapns_goods.ini file and place it into the market_misc.ini file under the base entry that u want.

To get it to show up in a dealer you will also need to add to MarketMisc.ini

MarketGood = special_nomad_gun04, 0, -1, 10, 10, 0, 1

I can get the custom gun to swivle on the x axis but not the y, why would it do this?

Erm, is this a brand new gun? or existing cause if memory serves the Aravis right there is no special_nomad_gun04.

special_nomad_gun01 Nomad Blaster
special_nomad_gun02 Nomad Cannon
special_nomad_gun03 Nomad Prototype I think

Ive never tried making a brand new gun. I usually just edit a gun noone ever uses like magma hammers, or something of the like. GL with that mate

I know why your weapon wont rotate... but take a look at the tutorial it may answer your questions.

I used your tutorial but I didn't understand how to oriant the weapon in milkshape, Also where do the mount and connect hardpoints go. I got the weapon files to work with mat files, but only when there in space the rest of the time like on a planet, or in a base the weapon is invisable. All the weapons in game have mat files so one would think it would be okay fo yours to have one.
So ya some help would be nice
I used the verson 2.cmp exporter so I don't know if the orantiont in your tutiorial is still valid.
Send me your guns ms3d file so I can see how it is orianted.
