2 questions about base construction

Hello. I have created a base in Hudson System and when I play the game it runs fine. But when I dock at the base the name that comes up is Borrow Base, Hudson. Even though I changed the ID in the dll file. which corresponds the the strid_name in universe.ini. How do i go about changing that to MyStation, Hudson?

Second. Also in the universe.ini file there is a place that says BGCS_base_run_by = W02bF_ _ . If i created my own Faction, how do I get a W02bF _ _ number for my faction, or can i simply put co_myfaction_grp in that spot?

I would appreciate any help anyone could offer. Thankyou.

Ok... a couple of things to check. There is a strid (which is generally entered as an ids_info number, but does not seem to work correctly if you use a new dll.. read on to see what to do), an ids_name (which you put into the dll, the particular system.ini file, and as the strid in universe.ini), and ids_info for the base (which goes into the particular system.ini file and the infocardmap.ini file as explained below).

Now if you want the base to show up in the commodity list at the commodity dealer's place you should forget about a special strid and just use the ids_name entry for that number as well. If you want the base to show information about itself when you click on the question mark that pops up on the map in the game, then you must enter the ids_info number (not the strid) into the interface\infocardmap.ini file at the bottom of the others like this:
Map = 526133, 0 ;base name for reference
Of course you would use YOUR ids_info number for that entry, then a comma, then a 0. The ; is just there so you can put a base name after that so you know what it is if you ever look at it again.

If the ids_name is a unique number (you should use a new dll for this, especially if you are going to do a lot of editing) then it will show up as per specification in the game.

We had a big thread about all this stuff going here about a month ago which is still here called: Making bases show up on the commodities list. That should answer most of your questions if this did not.
