Is there anything I can use to view the skysphere files?

Is there anything that will let me view what the skysphere graphics look like? I don't want to edit or even convert them, I just would like to know what each one is. Even a text list would be fine.

That's a good one... I too am looking for a "viewer" for the various objects and other things in the game. Perhaps some clever fellow will see this posting and make one we can all use. It need not be an editor, but a way to "preview" the various graphics included in the game. It would be nice if it was "dynamic" in that it would load any modded graphics from the various .ini and .cmp files as well, like ships and such. It sure would make life easier to be able to view stuff without putting it into the game first.

Try going to that website, the person there as made a program there called "HardPointEditor". It is an awesome program for viewing any cmp files, including starscapes.

Wasabe... that link is dead. http://81.79.13.214/freelancer/freelancer.php produces the usual page saying "you can't get there from here". If you have that program could you post it or send it to Baked Potato so they could put it in the programs or downloads section... giving credit to the person who wrote it of course.
