Radiation damage

ok, so i know there are a few posts about this, and yes i have used the search option, but i still cant seem to get my radiation to work. i hear the warning, and i get the warning symbol, but no damage is done to ship hul.

here is the code from my system.ini file

[zone
nickname = Zone_DA01_system_radiation
pos = -124, 0, 388
shape = SPHERE
size = 50000
damage = 60
sort = 99.500000

any help would be appriciated.

Don't know what it does but have you already ruled out the fact that you're missing an 'edge_fraction =' line?

change that to say damage = 200000 and fly into the zone..........then say it don't work

already tryed that chips, set it to silly figure like 1mil, but still no effect on my ship (im testing the radiation in an unmodded Eagle.

visit = 128 <-----------add this and try again
sort = 99.500000

Are you positive that you have it over teh right area?? Slap it over your jumpgate - and i dunno if the visit line would mean it wouldn't wrok - I cannot imagine it does but who knows

ok ill try that

To chips: im getting a warning and the radiation symbol, so i am in the right area, its jsut the damage isnt being done.
