Can someone tell me are there any tutorials on creating a system where everything is on different levels as in Evolutions, Florida system.
I dont think this is a noob question I no there are tutorials on creating a system but they are standard systems and after playing Freelancer since before it was released im getting very bored with the same old standard system look.
Also are there any tutorials on adding new textures to systems as in background wallpaper.
In chips changing system mod there are some very noce looking systems which im sure are not origonally from the game.

Can you at least point me in the right direction by telling me what Tutorial names to look for as there is a large amount of them to sift through.
Just a small question is anybody making a completely sorted list of tutorials as finding anything is a nightmare.

I don't think there is a tutorial on how to do it in 3d - you just make a system, then hike stuff up or down as you wish. Things to note - tradelanes CANNOT be angled - the lane rings MUST stay "verticle" otherwise they ONLY dock one way (The other sends you off down the tradelane BACKWARDS through space instead of towards the next tradelane) - so once that was out of the way - it was simply a case of making a normal tradelane, then adding the 3rd verticle positino value afterwards. 500 or so was a nice easy amount - with 1000 being the limit of "****iness" or belief. Slap it at 2000 and your rising so quick it looks bad.

now just move planets, populations etc around that area.

oh - theere was ONE thing i had to do. Tradlane populations -i had to work out the angle of the lane using some simple trig, and then angle the tradelane population to match it - so that NPC's can travel/join if disrupted etc

Chips thankyou for the reply and the explanation, Deathsminion yes your right this is a tutorial forum but in the past I have posted messages in other forums and had little or no response, so this time I descided to post my question on tutorials in the tutorial forum which kind of makes sense.
But if my post really causes anyone to be annoyed please feel free to remove it or move it to the appropriate forum.
