A mod idea

It is called " Remote ops ". This might be inpossble but, here goes. I have been thinking about the game engine for Freelancer. Could it be possible to somehow remote-control ships. Now i don't bean buying extra ships and giving them orders. I am thinking of allied ships. You do something press a key, - to desktop and activate, something to let you give very basic commands like, Join formation with me and Go to my target. Like you are doing a level 21 mission and are at level 10, so you want to bring along a gunboat or patroll. Very helpfull with anti-stition missions. Or enemy cruise disrupters keep you from a jump hole ( Macking it take 40 min. ) Maybee help you through the omega-5 system? Or when you are allied with criminals, Orcastrate attacks, that would be fun. It should only work on nutral and allied ships, Maybee read from you're rep so you arent nutral with them Only becaouse of a mission. To keep you from sending enimies into the sun and stuff. Nattrally, Storyline mission ships cannot be affected. And the threat responve should not be alterd ( So you cannot tell some transports to follow you into the shadows and steal there cargo without any fuss, or rep-free target practice ). What do you think? Is it possible, something like this? I hope you don't close this thread or something. If it is impossible, than it just is just a bad idea. If it is unnacceptable then tell me and i will delete it. I don't see how though.

lol..What did you have a bad experience with another thread you started or something? Why would someone lock this?

To tell you the truth this is the only place I can see your idea being doable. In the missions you can spawn craft (wingmen), give them initial positions that include staying inside of your position to a certain distance, give them nnobjectives that can trigger responses to a given situation. I don't know if there's a way to make a key stroke a trigger for a nnobj, but if that's possible then you can add in commands that cause your "wingmen" to do what you want. As the mission is scripted from start to finish it would be possible for someone writing in your wingmen to forsee what they'd need to do and when so the whole command thing wouldn't really be necessary, just cool.
