Automatic docking

Ok, sorry if this has been asked before. Is it possible for you to dock with a base or jump gate without pressing dock? So you just fly into an opening? A bit like Tachyon: The Fringe.
Also, can you land on planets by flying into the atmosphere?

Considering the .ini files and the commands inside them...
Most likely not
To do something like that would be a miracle!

But, that's only my opinion.

Surely it must be possible. Changing the ini files so that when you fly into a certain area, you get docked or transported via jumpgate/hole

hmm, dont think that its possible.
but u can experiment.
analyze what it takes to dock.

obviously its a "dock_with =" entry in an [Object section in a system ini file.
try adding that line to a [Zone and see what happens. most likely you will crash and it wont work, but IF it does then u have exactly what you wanted to have.

i give it less than 10% but go ahead and try it.
