Bouncing Battleships when Hit by fighters
If anyone can please help me me with this problem It would be great. I have made every capitol ship flyable from the original game and have been successful with every part of it landing, docking, flying but for some reason all the battleships go flying when hit in battle by light fighters. I have tried many mods that uses battleships and they all seem to do this to varing degrees.
I was able to stop this from happening by replacing the sur files for the cap ships with ones from fighters and the problem goes away. But its a lousy fix because it makes them less killable and it seems a shame not to use a proper .sur file when you can.
I also had some luck changing the ship class in the ship arch declaration from type = FIGHTER or type = FREIGHTER that everyone is using to type = CAPITAL
Then I used the standard steering declarations for one of the existing cap ships
steering_torque = 1501900032.000000, 1501900032.000000, 1501900032.000000
angular_drag = 13200000000.000000, 13200000000.000000, 13200000000.000000
rotation_inertia = 15000000512.000000, 15000000512.000000, 15000000512.000000
nudge_force = 3000000.000000
This seemed to help but there are other drawbacks to using type = CAPITAL
That make this option also unuseful
I also adjusted my HpMount Positon parameters to different settings
from the standard numbers:

-9.729430
-218.024628
To this which only helps slightly

Has anyone had luck getting these ships to stop flying when being hit by other ships?
