Looking for some guys wanting to mod

Well, me and a buddy of mine have been getting very bored playing most of today's newer games and there arent any out that are vast, and fun.

so we started playing FL and started running a server.
And i'm also looking to mod her out..
I'd like the server to be widely clan-based.

I'd like to see lots of different guilds fighting for control of the space in freelancer..

the Npc fighters will be sectioned off for more of a large scale fight, player vs NPC and maybe NPC vs Npc vs player type battles..(improved Ai ofcourse)

Im still fairly new to Fl server hosting and modding for freelancer..
But if there are any guys, young or old..It's an experince in all..to help build something and to sit back and have fun seeing others enjoy it..

FYI: I'm the type of person who looks for the grand scale of a picture, rather then seeing only one corner..So I'm sure i'm talking about stuff that can't even be done in the game. but i'm willing to see how far i can push the letter.

feel free to contact me on Our "Teamspeak server" Ip=66.45.4.228:8767
My Name is Remo aka Tokushu. hit me up for applying or perhaps to play on the server.. (server is Eastcoast based in Richmond, Va)

There are several mods already made that would accomplish your goal quite nicely...and there are loads of tutorials here that would help you if you are dead set on modding...It's pretty easy to get into if you just want to mod a few things for your server, but i hear ya

Thanxs Baene!

Dont think i'll be using anyone elses mods, as whatever it come with, if I didnt like i'd have to find a way to take it out..Not even sure if you can do that..

(haven't gottin that far)hehe..

first step is working on New ships for the game and creating a storyline.

Thanxs again..ttys

Good for you! First thing to do then, is to read up in the Tutorial section of the site, which should give you a good idea of where to start out modding. Next, if it's ships you aim to design, grab the demo if Milkshape 3d...It's an inexpensive 3d modeling program that is the only one currently able to export to Freelancer's format. It's a 30 day trial, but to purchase the program it's only $25 US i believe. There are also tutorials here on the site for help getting started modeling in Milkshape...Just do a search for Drizzt and you should be able to find his Milkshape tutorial, which is very simple to follow.

Grab Milkshape Here.

Good luck
