Single Player "Homebase"

Bought FL when first came out, played the crud out of it ever since, yesterday found this site. Never needed anything else for the game and was not even aware that modding it was so "common", so needless to say I have no idea about modding anything, yet.

Question is, in single player after you defeat the "main quest", is it possible to open a new system with a planet or base that is basically yours. Buys most all commodities at decent prices (not top, but better than average). Has job board with good paying work of all kinds for many factions in multiple systems (something i feel should be in the original instead of only being able to work for 1 or 2 factions). Top of the line weapons armor shields etc.

From what i have seen on forums and downloadable mods, this all seems possible, with alot of work, but here comes the doosie question.

Is it possible to have your own personal ship landing pad? What I am thinking is a shipdealer with 2 ships there and when you land your ship goes into the dealer slot as third ship. All ships are free so that you can switch in and out of them at will. Reason being I want a great fighter and a great freighter, but i like to switch between trading and killing and hate backtracking to a certain sector to get the ship i want.

Is that possible or would I have to create 3 "new" ships that are only available on that base and are free.

Kind of long winded, but thnx in advance.

You can do all of that and it wouldn't actually be that hard or time consuming. The ship thing though, you could only have 3 set ships available, no way to park something that's not for sale there and then take off in another ship, come back and have it still there. You could, however, write a script that you could run at any time you start up through FLMM that would allow you to substitute any ships in that you want. Note you would also have to make a new faction or alter an existing faction that would always be friendly with you and man your base.
