Turning stats for fighters

Hi, I was wandering, does anyone know how the turning stats work in the ship arch ini file? I can't figure it out, so I need some help.

The lower the numbers, the quicker the turn. The ones I mod in for the ships I use are -
steering_torque = 18000.000000, 18000.000000, 58000.000000
angular_drag = 15000.000000, 15000.000000, 35000.000000
rotation_inertia = 2800.000000, 2800.000000, 1000.000000

Normal ones are -
steering_torque = 50000.000000, 50000.000000, 230000.000000
angular_drag = 40000.000000, 40000.000000, 141000.000000
rotation_inertia = 8400.000000, 8400.000000, 8400.000000

Mine give a quicker responce and tighter turns. The higher numbers are usually on larger ships and battleships are very slow to turn. Hope this helps.

hmm, a search on the forums could have helped you.

to be a bit more exact:

steering_torque = 50000.000000, 50000.000000, 230000.000000
angular_drag = 40000.000000, 40000.000000, 141000.000000
rotation_inertia = 8400.000000, 8400.000000, 8400.000000

steering_torque / rotation_inertia is the max turning speed (my guess is radiants per sec, but thats just a guess)

angular_drag / rotation_inertia is how fast the turning accleerates till it reaches max turning speed.
