Invisable ship?

I cant se my custom ship. I am pretty sure I did it right... But I cant se it. not in space, not on stations, nowhere. Is this a LOD issue?

I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members.

it may be the size of the ship that's the problem... make it REALLY BIG and see what happens

Well... I was going to try that. But when ever I get abound to exporting, it crashes. Every time. It did not do this before... Aww heck! I guess I'm just not made to model...

If milkshape don't work out perhaps you should try the 'zoolander' approach (dance off imminent... the look isnt working)

I noticed that my Milkshape sometimes crashes on exports if the whole model isn't selected for some reason, so go to "EDIT" then "Select All" and then try to export.

As for ship not being visible, size can do that, also MAKE SURE that you are NOT using 32 bit textures!!! Freelancer will not display 32 bit textures which can also cause an invisible ship. Open up Photoshop or whatever program you use for picture editing and re-save (or just check and make sure) that your textures are 24 bit or lower.

lol it was a joke also a reference to a rather ridiculous film called Zoolander (with the same pair that did Starsky & Hutch remake) who play two male models.

in 90% of cases invisible ships are typos in either shiparch.ini or inside the .mat file.
check that u use unique names, the right ones, check material names in milkshape, check references in the .mat file and so on. i bet its somewhere there.

believe me, i had this often enough - it was a pain to get the 1st ship into space but once u did it a few times its really easy

Who are you? I dont want you taking my model... <_< Hey baene, It didn't work. Still crashes. Now.... Why would milkshape start crashing right when I'm so close?

what version of Milkshape are you using? I don't have any problems with 1.7.0, but still if i don't select ALL, before export, MS crashes...as long as i select it all, i have zero problems...If all else fails, you DO know me hehe if you want me to look it over for you, i'd be happy to

What wont happen agian? I was kinda kidding about you stealing my ship... But you never know I am using 1.6.4. Cuz I dont want to buy 1.7.0! lol. Sure, check your email eh? (It is not my best work though. By any means. I.E. I am not that bad of a modeller! )

Hey, no worries bro it's definately your version of MS giving you problems, i think. I had MANY MANY problems with 1.6.4, but i know what you mean about the $$

Well, I tried agian, and this time I'm back where I started from... It crashes on startup. I must have gotten lucky that time when I could buy it. Could somone please walk me though this or somthing? Can anyone find anything wrong with that? My files are in this directory "DATA\SHIPS\MYSHIPS\SHIP1\ship1.cmp/sur/mat" anything wrong? (Also, I only have the hpmount tractor and exaust HP's on there... Could that be why? Does it need contrails or somthing? I also only have one texture. anything wrong there?)
