Scaling

I am makinga few ships right now, how can I tell what scale they are? Whats the average scale for a ship? I don't want to make a ship then have it the size of a planet or the size of a gun.

Trial and error really. The model in game is always going to shrink about 90%, so set it much larger than you think you'll want and then scale it down from there.

my own experience, scale the ship so it just barley fits in the milkshape windows when they are all the way zoomed back (not the perspective view though) then scale the ship 3x to 8x more depending on how big it should be, even more for cap ships.

Ok, how do I make the whole ship bigger?

by selecting all and scalling it : p preferably uniformally, so say put 3 in the x axis box, 3 in the y axis box, and 3 in the z axis box, then you press the button marked "scale"
