LtDonny, Welcome to TLR. Do you want to change it the legit way, ie in the game, or in a mod way? The game way is to fight the enemys of those you want as your friends and with bribes at their bases. The mod way is with Ioncross, you can edit your rep wtih all factions. Hope this helps.

Well, I was hoping I could do it by changing the '.ini' files. I found a tutorial in this forum, but it's too confusing.

Ioncross does basicly the same thing, just easyer. Start a game and create a save, not the auto save and exit. Open the ioncross editer and select a saved game and choose the locations and factions tab. opularity will be on the right and choose the faction and then the slide bar. Its a bit easyer than editing an ini for it, unless you are creating a mod of your own and want different friend or foes.

I just came across that I had to install to the default directory, which is not the case. Can I edit the registry (if so, what path?) or make an ini file to do it? thx.

forgive me, but Which? Do you have FLMM installed? If not, you will need to install it. Then Install Ioncross. You will not need to touch the registery. FLMM wil alow you to edit ini's. Also, if you wish to edit ini's, down load the SDK which is a clean decoded set of game data files. That way you won't need Bini Q. This way you can modify any of the data files you want.

Still doesn't work. Can it work with the trial?

I don't thinks so. You may need to get the full version. Depending on where yoyu live, US wise, its down to about $19 now. If you can, get it. There are a lot of mods to use and more being made.
