I mean, these 2 hardpoints just float all over the ship lol... (all others work great, there are 7 total on the ship...one Torp/CD 6 guns)

Sounds like my "floating shield generator on HpMount, alltough there IS a shield on HpShield and there aren't two shields" problem.

Someone said it's the new CMP exporter. Try it with the old one....

the problem is generated by conflicting orientation data with the hardpoint. When this happens open up the cmp using the utf editor and manually set the orientation for it. Though this can be complicated depending on the angle you use and your math skills, so what you could also do is for your hardpoints triangle face in milkshape, to scale it as small as you can so it looks like a dot compared to the rest of the ship, then bring it to as close as the ships face you want it on without going through that face, this will cut back on faulty orientation when the cmp exporter does it.

this is covered here
Hard points Ver 2

basiclly when you set the orentation
if you set it like this
0.000000
1.000000
0.000000
1.000000
0.000000
0.000000
0.000000
0.000000
1.000000

this will tell FL that the gun is on the right side of the hull.... and.... on the left side of the ship.... doesn't work well... therefore the problem

most of the time the .cmp exporter for ms3d will get these right... but for HpCockpit and a few others it doesn't know what is going on.... so you may have to adjust it manually... just read through the thread....
