Help anybody (lightwave users)
Well I finally exported some models of the ships I made in lightwave. Now everything is working except textures. The textures come out pixilated and distorted. Now did as a friend told me...it works for him but not for me .
Anyway here is what I have done step by step:
1. Made the model, textured it my normal way...poly by poly
2. Made a new and only one UV map (clicked T in lower right)
4. Added Surface Baker to all surfaces in Surface Editor, and all settings (resolution 500, and Photoshop format for the image type)
5. Saved the model and loaded it to Lightwave
6. Hit F9 and UV map got saved to lightwave directory
7. Loaded model to Milkshape, applied the texture of the map and textures looked distorted and pixilated.
8. Went back to Lightwave and increased resolution to 2000.
9. used this one in MS and it looked fine
10. Exported the ship to FL did all that ini editing and all other mambo jambo (mat file, sur file...)
11. Than remembered than normal size of texture should be around 256x256
12. In photoshop made the texture appropriate size, and also as my friend told me I needed to flip the texture vertically.
13. Loaded the ship with new texture....and it was pixelated again
Well asked my friend again...and he still did not respond, so thinking that he is lost as much as I am. Anyway anybody have any clue what might be wrong?? Could the fact that I made ship 1000 (10x10x10) times bigger in MS have to do something with it?? I am just completely lost...any body got a suggestion??
