Is it possible?

Is it possible to make a gun that repaires hull and sheild damage? I.E. your out with a bud, on a mission..... when suddenly........ AHHHHH comes in the chat window! You whip your ship around and see your buds ship flaming! You dont know what to do!!!! Wait! The repair turret! Hurry! pfpghfhjdd!! He's back to working order. Is it possible eh?

Try putting a negative "-" in front of the munition's hull and energy damage values and test it out.

Dude, don't bother. That was a joke. If you give your weaps negative damage values you'll end up blowing your bud out of the sky in about .5 seconds.

hahaha, u were not the 1st to try this
the explanation is fairly easy.
try to assign a negative value to an unsigned variable and u get a pretty high number.

still, its weird that the energy_damage DOES accept negative values.
you can make guns that damage only hull - works perfectly.
give them an energy_damage value that is half of the hull_damage but negative - finito.

Maybe combine repairing code from bases with weaponry? OR repairing code from nanobots. Even better, fire nanobots at him

If you are referring to the person you fire it at, then maybe create a code that sets the nanobots to work when they hit him
