Force field question

Is it possible to create a "force field" within a system.
It will be like a zone with auto pilot routes, interfering the players control within the force field. Make the routes twsiter shape will have some real good combat challenges.
I have checked with the trade lane routes and jump gates routes, but I don't know how to create my own auto pilot routes and how to trigger them automatically. XX(

hmmm. nice idea. but i got a theory. if you change the position of the tradelanes into curves instead of straights, maybe the ships would follow the tradelande path. only in theory.

@revan:
I think somebodyt did that and the ship flys off in the direction of the second lane ring and keep going forever. I think thats what it was...

The mod what was it....WEll it ws the one that had warp zone as a system and WARZONE as another system (dont remeber name) The trades lanes dont have to be positioned straigh, however, your ship wont turn with the trade lan it with rather strafe and the trade lane light effect? that keeps going straight too regardless of trade lane ring postions

I have seen a tradelane that curved, I don't remember which mod it was in, but the lane was straight for a while, then suddenly turned right. It was a real suprise to me, but pretty cool to see.

to the topic:
I finished my fuse tutorial today and then this came into my mind.
just plain theory, but it could work. (read the tut or u wont understand much of this)

create a solar object - doesnt really matter what it is.
make a fuse entry for it including a [impulse section.
you can specify a "force" value there (also damage if u want) that drives u back - kinda gives u a kick.

problems are to trigger this - its connected to the object's hitpoints. when those reach a value then it is triggered.

problem is that it will only trigger once.

i am tryin to figure out something to "heal" the object again so it can drop to the trigger hitpoint value again.
with some local radiation you could "auto-damage" it - the healing is the problem here.

remember, all plain theory... im just guessing here.

there is another way.

have you guys noticed that luminous objects like stars etc have an area of effect in which no object {including ships} can enter.

what if the same idea could be applied here.if a systen could be enclosed in this perticular region or jumpgate to the system.
