Other programs to make custom ships?

I've seen on this site so many times, and others, that people use milkshape to make their ships. I use and are familiar with trueSpace 5 for modelling, and I was wondering if anyone out there knows whether there is a way I can use trueSpace to get my ship models into Freelancer. Anyone?

Thanks in advance.
PS. In trueSpace you can save objects in these formats : .cob/.can/.asc/.3ds/.dxf/.x

Cheerz!

i know for a fact milkshape can import .3ds, .dxf, and .asc, just export your model from truespace into one of those formats and import it into milkshape, then export it to cmp.

I use gmax and then export the model to milkshape that works fine with me...look for drizzt4u his ship tutorial for more information and an entire tutorial...

Thanks guys! That's a real help, I can't get my head around the milkshape interface, but it's easier importing. Cheerz!
