Lightwave 7 HELP needed FAST

I have a model in .COB file its Truespace file, but i would like to open it in Lightwave and edit on it there. If i think right its a plugin i need, but i dont know what. so if someone kindly could help me little

can your program export a 3ds file? if so, export it in 3ds format... 3ds format is the most common 3dmodel format that is known almost by any modelling software.
