Noobie problem with Base creation

I've been following Chips excellent guide to base creation and have run into a problem. Igot the base positioned near Leeds just fine, but when I dock I just get a black screen with the character icons in the top right corner. The base navigation bar, which normally has the icons for bar, trader,equipment, and ship dealer is there, but it's empty.
When creating the station, I used Sheffield Station as a model and used the room files from it as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

uuu...I got that problem too once...

Check the Rooms..

1. Make sure all brackets are colosed

2. Make sure the paths in your YourBase.ini are correct (.....System/your system/....ect...)

3. Make sure the base has some stuff to sell (market_ship, Market_misc, market_comodities)

Yep - you will find a lovely thread by me in tutorials forum (although its buried, so look in Stingers stickied thread at top). Its called *DEBUGGING* - answers to crashes

You will find in there the description for this problem, along with what you need to do to rectify the situation as well (ie - what the problem is

Thanks for the help - got it fixed. It must have been a problem with the room files - I replaced them with ones from a different base and it worked fine. Funny though, before I got rid of the old room files I double checked them and they seemed OK.
Now to populate that sob.
