(based on the principle of seeing in a mod to play in SP or online modded server mod like TNG or WTS (not basic cheaters hacking vanilla FL servers))

I'd like to see a much bigger gameworld, like an entire galaxy, with hyperdrive-esque drives meaning you can go anywhere, not just to systems. That's probably more of a "what would you like to see in a sequel" idea though.

I'd like to see a covert armed merchantman. In other words a Train that looks like its full of cargo. When you scan it shows diamonds, niobium, gold etc.
Once you go in for the kill the cargo pods blow off revealing internal weapon HPs and you're left commited to an attack vs. 8-10 hardcore turrets. It would certainly make hanging around at Reppu+Raiden bends, waiting for some choice targets a whole new experience.
The thing about this is I know it can be done I just don't know how to do it.
Kinda irritating!

ships with moving parts.... as in a capital class main gun that has 2 parts that rotate counter to each other while the gun is activated

i'd like to see a mod making light fighters actually worth flying a bit more. not just in terms of manuverability, but speed - vhf's and hf's, freighters, capships, all of them should have different top speeds, different thruster drain, and different cruise speeds...

i think that would add an interesting dimension to the game, especially if the fighters docking with player controlled battleships gets functional.

and combine both of them with a mod i've seen (don't remember the name) which makes it so that you need fuel to fly... and you've got carriers.

it would add an interesting level of stratagy to multiplayer pvp.

My main beef with the SP storyline is the Starflier. Juni and King have God mode running for them, and Trent has mutiple guns, nanos and batteries. My idea would be to make all ships buyable as Trent finds them, but with this restriction : he cannot mount guns or shields above his present levels. He would still have to play the story to get better equipment. This would result in less time flying the dinky Starflier and the other uglies (Bretonian ships). On the odd chance that Trent gets to Malta, he gets to buy a Sabre but is restricted to his level guns and shields.
This is my idea for a MOD.
