Using the bini thingy?

If anybody would be as kind as to tell me how to use the bini thingy, (very new at this ^^) or point me in direction of someplace there is a description i would be most pleased

I can't seem to figure out how to actually make it decrypt those files

Go to the 'Editing Tutorials' newbie threads. You will find it all in there.

Oh yes, something important. Download the SDK files and use them for modding as the binithingy corrupts the original shiparch, solararch and mbases files. It misses the 'true' word out. It takes ages to debug the mbases file so make sure you use the SDK files which are bini proof.

My best advice to you is to learn how to mod via FLMM, don't worry its simple. Don't mod the original Freelancer files. If you mess up and have to reinstall FL you'll lose all of your work. I only started modding via FLMM after I lost some work so don't make the same mistake as me. Best of luck.

oh yes - sdk is much better - just cause it takes any associated errors for several files out....AND its simpler (you don't have to convert txt to ini as well) so its quicker too.......
