Importing Custom Music, Possible?

I've tried over and over and over again, and can't do it.

Here's what I've got:
> I have my music in *.wav format
> It's called music_session.wav, and is about 6MB. Linkin Park fans will know it as track 12 on Meteora
> I've slapped the necessary bits into music.ini
> I've set my script in "script.xml" in my MOD to <sectionreplace> and set-up the necessary <dest>, <source>, and the other one (i can't remember what it's called) tags, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

It may be a wav file but stil in the wrong format. I believe that FreeLancer uses 22k stereo uncompressed (non-codec) wave files. You'll need them in that format (or if I'm mistaken, the correct one) for the files to work, regardless of the ini editing you've done.

22.050kHz, 16-bit stereo is the most common form of wav file used in gaming. It has a fair sound quality at 86kb/s and isn't large enough to lag out a game. As to how to set u're audio converter, I'm unsure.

I think that the .wav files have to be encoded using MPEG-3. Have you done that, Cardy?

haven't got round to it yet, Esq and ambershee, as I can't find my CDDA Extractor program, which includes an Audio File Converter!

Just rename the file to one of the Freelancer audio files. I got my Omicron Music Tracks playing Pirates of the Caribbean music. Real nice MAke sure they're in .wav format.
