Newbie Question, HELP!

Hi, I'm a total newbie when it comes to modding, I've never been able to make sense of anything you discuss. . . So, if its not to much trouble ( I know it probably is ) coud someone give me a really, really basic tutorial on modding something simple. . . like making a super ship for SP. Changing stats or whatever. PLEASE!
I'll never figure it out, more likely wipe the harddrive, really basic.

Up top, two threads, newbie questions look no further, and newbie questions look no further 2.

Now start with 1. You might not be able to do everything on those pages immediately, but starting with the first one (station) is a darned good way to become familiar with modding a little bit, and also with the layout of ini files. Then - move through the posts. IF your looking for specific things, use the index at the start of the second thread to help look in the first. The tutorials forum is great too - so check it out, there are more tutorials than you can shake a stick at.
