.mat texture problemz

I have figured out how to do everything when it comes to modeling a ship in studiomax...My ships are all right sizes and look great in freelancer....but I'm not getting any textures.....I followed a couple tutorialz...seems easy....but I'm screwing up somewhere...my models look all white without texture....when I used someone elses texture and merged my file with there model ....kept the texture....it shows up in freelancer.....most of my ships i'd like to simply add a material like crome or what ever before I start making real texture maps....so....could someone simplify the process....or tell me what I could be doing wrong....the da_archetype locations are correct....I think im not applying the materials or textures right....is there a certain way I must save before exporting model as cmp....please....I figured how to model ships from scratch...and get them in this game......they just look plain solid white...still cool...but not what I want..............................thnx for anytime given

C) start with this guys .mat " http://tfk.marlur.dnsalias.net/tutorial/Sphere.zip " , and rename the .mat to yourship name and your texture to Kubus.tga. I use his .mat as a base example and slowly rename to check if everything is working.

Remeber the alpha channel very important, but if its shown up white you should be fine.

A) remeber to flip vertically in your texture program before importing.

If you still have probs e-mail me your .mat
