Auto tracking on turrets

Has anyone had any luck getting this working?
I've been working on it myself and have had limited success.
The main proble I have is the turrets wit target and track but don't seem to lead right and never seem to fail to try firing "through" other vessels and stations etc.

I've heard many discussions on the matter, but no success. It was probably something never finished somewhere in the executables.
