An Idea.. for the MOD making expert.
Hi.. this may sound odd, But I purchased FreeLancer 4 months ago.. and only NOW.. actually started playing. I LOVE IT.. it has so much potential MOD wise.
Now for My ideas.. I was wondering if any of you excellent mod makers know if...
is it possible to make an INTERGLACTIC BANK for MP? ..I was thinking of Modeling (I have some 3D modeling skills) a sort of SPACE STATION that acts like a Galactic COmmerical Bank, where players can dock and.. make depostis and withdrawls.. since the Server seems to save info on character development.... I was wondering..if they can keep track of your Bank info.. (with drawls, deposits.. interest buildup etc) .. this may sound silly.. but i think this would add some sort of realism. to a space trading game... and would be a dream come true in the "world" i'm trying o build on my server.
Also.. i was wondering..
would it be possible to have someone code a sort of Chat Interface (LIKE MIRC) that activates.. when people go to the "BAR" of a space station.. the one thing that disappointed me about the MP in FL..was .. you couldn't see your buddy in the bAR when you both docked.. it's understandable why it's not possible.. but having a CHat console come up when players enter a BAr..will add to that feeling virtual reality.. I dunno.. is this even remotley possible? I figured if some people can make server launcher upgrades.. then this would be a piece of cake... it could sit in the background during play.. and act as the main room for ploting.. and planning.. since the FL chat is sort of weak IMO.
are any of my ideas remotley possible? ... please get back to me.
