Never Ending Warp....

Just made my first system, very basic added sun & warp gate lol. However when i dock with the warp gate in NY to get to my new system, i get into the warp, the screen goes white as normal, but then i dont stop warping... Not sure what the problem is. Below is my new system.ini file:

Well, the most thinkable problem is that you have spelled "gate_tunnel-bretonia" wrong, but i doesn't seem to be the failure. As a suggestion, try to change "Jump_effect =" to "jump_effect =". Its only a suggestion.

BTW, do you have a link to the tutorial you used for the new IDS-name?

Use FLED-ids mate, its very easy to use, and user friendly.
So, anyone got ANY idea whats up with the system? its afterr the screen flashes white, so im guessing it gets stuck trying to read the systems ini fiel, but for the life of me i cant find anything wrong with it :/

Are you using the demo? These are exactly the symtoms you get when you try to jump from New York (or into it) in the demo

I'm trying to find a solution to this problem (see the thread "Demo Modding - General Issues"

i did that
the only thing that worked for me was to start all over

there are three ways we can describe the Starlancer forums if TLR was a town.....
they are either the ghettos, the old folk homes, or the graveyard

ok well, decided to revert back to replacing the whole universe.ini file instead of having FLMM gen ids's. I started over again. followed tohe tute TO THE WORD, thankfuly, now i dont get stuck in the warp, it just crashes to desktop when the screen flashes white.... please someone help! i'll send all the files, this is just plain silly!!! on the upside, liberty navy docked and went through the gate before i did which is a good sign i guess

No offense - but the amount of errors that are in Giskards system modding is shocking. Luckily its all just typos - but if you don't know what you are doing - phff.. I have made a thread that will help with crashes to the systems that you make. Its in the tutorials forum - and is stickied up at the top of the forum.

make sure you put a new jump gate in the system that's suposed to be at the end.

You can jump in demo you don't even need a jump hole or gate all you need is a jump base

Spam, would you like to tell the rest of the universe what a "jump base" is?

I'd like to know. It sounds interesting (and like it has potential for other uses)

BTW, Has anyone figured out in-sytem jumping?

In system jumping is simple, very very simple:

Just make the goto line to another jumphole in your own system. The shortest_path.ini already has entries like:
Li01, Li01, Li01 That is all it needs, they all have it already!

For the jumphole example - check this out:
In your system file you do this, you can use whatever nicknames for the jumpholes so it doesn't matter, just make sure that it refers to the right part.

Example:
