Add some spice to the Sirius sector!!!!!!!

Getting bored with the same old encounters found throughout Sirius? Hate having to travel all the way to the borderworlds to get into a decent firefight? Well I have the solution to all of your problems. I found a way of spicing up your random encounters so you can be fighting low level and high level npc ships anywhere you go. Here's what you do:

Locate the file npcships.ini in your data\missions directory. In this file you will find entries for npc controlled ships. The thing to look for is line that contains the level at which the will appear. The line will look something like this:

npc_class = unlawful, class_fighter, d18, d19

It is usually the last statement of each entry. What you need to do is for every entry (or select only ones you want), place more d#'s at the end, corresponding to the level you want them to appear at. For example, we want the npcs to appear in up to level 30 encounters, you need to include d1, d2, d3.........d19 Still confused? The ideology goes a little like this:

The entry npc_class = unlawful, class_fighter , d19 will spawn this particular fighter in level 19 encounters or above. Hence the reason you don't see titans flying around in Bretonian space. However, if you would like to see some Titans blasting the Bretonian military to pieces, you only need to change the Titan's entry to this:

npc_class = unlawful, class_fighter , d1, d2, d3, d4, d5, d6, d7, d8, d9, d10, d11, d12, d13, d14, d15, d16, d17, d18, d19

I think the highest level encounter goes up to 19, so it is unnecessary to go past that. So by adding these extra "levels" to all npcship entries, you will see much more variety in the levels and types of ships that appear. This way, you will find Daggers, Stilettos, and Sabres all flying around the Outcast border worlds (normally there would be only Sabres), and Legionnaires, Centurions, and Titans in Bretonian space (normally there would be only Legionnaires)

Oh! BTW, DO NOT add this to any entry where the ship nickname contains a "MSN" in it. These are mission ships and should not really be tampered with. This modification is solely for after you finish the single player missions, as it has not been tested fully. Also, you may experience a crash due to too many ships spawning. I only encountered this once, but I will keep working on it. Post any problems, questions, or comments you may have please!
