New Story Missions (possible?)

I was thinkin'

DA used ini's to create the story missions, ive had a look at them using bini and they seem to make sense.

But, it is going to be ages until DA releases a seqel(if they do) so i thought, Why not create a mod that has like 8-12 more missions?

Ill need help on this (lots)

anyone got any ideas?

ahhh, now missions are not just contained in inis, if you want cutscenes you will have to script them. and you would have to figure out all the gobbeldeygoop in the mission inis first to start making them

How about, that the threat of nomads still exist in the omicron system and some ships are sighted. Then Orillion has been kidnapped... and so on and so fort...

Working hard to earn... but too lazy to do something...

I had an idea for the general outline that the first four missions are to do with the road to rheinland corsair campaign, then the nomads come along and start wreaking havoc once again, and i was thinking of creating something to do with the dom kavash, like making a faction that discovered one of thier planets and adapted thier technology ( called 'Dom kavesh'?) and maybe a human rebel group from the order allied with the nomads.

Oh and i was thinking for the last or second last mission, to take out the ENTIRE nomad fleet (40 battleships, 100-200 gunboats, 2000 fighters&interceptors).

THAT would make a good ending!

cool idea!
but i had a look my selfand what really makes a good game are the cutscenes but all the voices are seperate and are put into the cutscene when they come up
and to know what the heck u r doing u need to have to have them talk to u and tell u where to go but u would need to get the people to record the voice for those cutcenes

can any1 do that here?

i have another idea for better modding
have Arcon sneak into Digital Anvil in the form of an intern to get the beta code thing (not exactly what that is) can some1 tell me?

There are two solutions to the recording problems:
1. Record our own
2. Voice Synthesis (better)

the voice synthesis solution will solve having to record our own because we will be able to make our own voices sound like any in the game, once i get ahold of one

But the cutscene thing is going to require ALOT of work
The base layout for the missions is just triggers, ships, bases etc. layed out in a really complicated format, so, we managed to do everything else, this is the only thing left, so WHY NOT? we put about the same amout of work into the other mods!

* by 'We' i mean all the mod summitters

NOTE please this would take a long time to work out and do. You will need alot of help, and dont start planning great ideas straight out, unless you have lots o help, otherwise it will never get off the ground, like some of the "I wanna make the best MOD ever!!!" topics

I don't think it will be an easy task. The one scripts missions must know the every little details in the system/area where the mission will take place. Ship, base and detail paths with full scripted commands for NPCs. If you want to build the mission, try to modify the SP missions first. I'd like to know if some1 have found the script editor for FL.
So far I edited first mission's NCP ships. These rogues were in sabre and with class 9 missiles. King was in titan with high velocity nomad blaster. Make a guess if I can complete the mission

In a starflier with 3Justice mk 1's and a crappy shield? i doubt it

I think that maybe we can try to make missions after the FL story. The only problem I see is a trigger mechanics, I see no way to remember game state as: 'I have been there' or 'I have heard this' and to change the game behavior according to this.
