Can your mighty intellect explain, o great Spectre, how flaming him would resolve the situation and re-ban this asshole?
First off, I was kidding, rusing, rubbing not accusing. The memory struck me as humourous, thats all; the part about him not being here anymore. Be calm, be at peace, this is no quibble. I took your quote from the thread yes, but it was posted after two explanations by us to people who were asking what had happened. So it wasn't yet a completely pointless thread, that's my opinion. But I am glad I was driven through necessity to adequately show what Uba had done through story. I have no qualms with you.
I know that thread by Wassup where you were accused of closing too many threads may have left you on the defensive. I brought my argument then and it was rejected, fine. Life goes on. Some had harsher things to say, but I was not one of them. I think they were wrong for getting hostile. Don't get on my case.
I will never subject you to my humour again if you don't want me to. The trouble is in the medium. It is difficult to determine intonation with just text. My intonation in my previous post was never accusatory in nature, but in jest.
So I concentrate on things that I can do, like dealing with petty spammers.
Okay that is admirable. You just have to realize some people may disagree with you what spamming is. It doesn't mean they dislike you, it's just that they disagree. I sent an email to Bargib for him closing the Freelancer vs Privateer thread, I really enjoyed that thread. I disagreed with him, but beyond sending an email, I didn't whine and complain about it. I didn't dislike him for doing it either.
I hope that was a good inspiration - I can see it now: "Cop lets drug dealer get away, arrests jaywalker" or something in that vein.
It's been done, Lethal Weapon 3, only it was a gunnrunner/bankrobber not a drug dealer.
