Starship Troopers Rodger Young - Conversion Required

Hi everyone,

The monstrous "Rodger Young" from the book (and movie) Starship Troopers has always stuck out in my mind as one of my favorite ships. While I found a Lightwave version of it, I am running into many problems converting it for use in FL. If anyone has done this before and would be willing to spend the time to do some converting, it would be greatly appreciated...

Link to the Lightwave mesh

Can you export it in 3ds format.

How can you enter that thing. You need to register first. If you can try posting. so when we pick it just do the save dialogue thing.

The model has too many polygons. 79k to be exact. I've whittled it down to about 30k but thats still 25k too many.

There is a Corvette version available on that site, called the "Volcano". It's about half as long, so that may have less polygons than the full size dreadnought version... might be worth a shot?

Not neccesarily the case. I need a 3dsmax cmp exporter to make things easier.
