Q: How do you make a model so detailed? when I tried, I kept on hitting the wrong vertex.

When you say you miss the vertex..I have no idea what you are saying. I tried searching for a ship example of yours but couldnt find anything on forums. Basically its the Uv'mapping that makes the difference when it comes to detail. If you get your maps right , your imaginition is the limit. e-mail me an example if this doesnt help(just the texture).

Forgot to add texture size helps aswell, useing 512x512 which is big for FL but it works so hey *shrugs*.
